Office of the Upazila Accounts Officer, Kalaroa, Satkhira is an important government agency. It is a district level office under the control of Controller General of Accounts or CGA, Dhaka. Previously, the treasury offices under the district administration were responsible for maintaining the accounts, now the CAO Office, Divisional Accounts Controller's Office, District Accounts Office are under the administration of the Comptroller General of Accounts (CGA) Bangladesh ‍and upazila accounting offices have been transferred. Instead of district treasury officer, the responsibility of government accounting has been assigned to the Comptroller General of Bangladesh. Government accounting is not the sole responsibility of any department. The relevant department and the officer in charge of accounting jointly perform this responsibility. . Maintenance of payroll, expenditure execution based on approved budget, compliance with financial regulations, frugality,heads of Ministries/Departments will be accountable to the Government and Parliament for transparency and public accounting. The accounting office compiles the accounts and submits the consolidated statement of accounts to the government.
 
No registrar is maintained at present. After receiving the bill, it is entered into the computer by assigning the token number to each bill: it is passed. After passing the payment order is automatically received by the computer (iBAS Integrated Budget & Accounting System). Only printed and sent to the bank. At present this office is located on the western side of the Satkhira-Dhaka highway between the Upazila Administration, Kalaroa, Satkhira office.
